Flat Rock Community Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Serving over 200 families in both Jackson and DeKalb Counties in the state of Alabama, we continue to need volunteers and donated items for New Beginnings Thrift Store. The food pantry needs donated food items as well as volunteers to pack and give out food.    Our Food Bank has experienced over 1000% increase in the number of our food recipients in the last two years. 23% of our recipients are children and 100% live at or below the poverty level.   Please consider helping us meet the needs of the hungry in our area or contact your local food bank to start making a positive impact on your community today.

And remember, your purchases in the thrift store help support our Food Bank, now serving 225 families (over 600 people) every month in the Flat Rock, Ider, Bryant and Higdon, Alabama communities.

New Beginnings Thrift Store, located in the front of the building, offers good quality clothing, personal hygiene products and household items at low cost to all patrons. These items are offered free to those with a need. The rear of the buillding houses our community area, kitchen, food bank, sorting room and business offices. Please come by for a visit and see how we've grown! 

A memory/honor plaque is located inside the Center. A loved-one's name can be placed on the plaque for a donation of $100.00 or more to the Flat Rock Community Center.  Make your tax-deductible checks to the Flat Rock Community Center, Inc. and mail them to:
